Ural State Law University (USLU), established in 1931, is one of Russia’s premier institutions for legal education. Originally founded as the Siberian Institute of Soviet Law, it was relocated to Sverdlovsk in 1934 and later became Sverdlovsk Law Institute. In 1992, it was renamed Ural State Law Academy, and in 2014, it received its current status as a university. USLU is known for producing top-tier legal professionals who serve across Russia and internationally.
The university offers a diverse range of programs and is a key player in legal education and research, focusing on the development of highly skilled professionals in law, prosecution, and related fields. Today, USLU includes 6 institutes, 8 faculties, and 24 departments, with 575 educators guiding the academic journey of its students.
