Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service (VSUES), established in 1967, is a prominent institution located in the city of Vladivostok, in the Russian Far East. Originally founded as the Far Eastern Technological Institute (FETI), the university was renamed in 1995 to Far Eastern State Technological Institute (FESTI) and eventually became Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service in 1996.
VSUES is rapidly transforming into a leading business university in the region, offering innovative education with a practical approach. It specializes in economics, business management, tourism, design, engineering, and international studies. As of 2017, the university hosts around 600 international students from 20 countries.
VSUES is a member of several key associations, including the Association of Russian and Chinese Universities and the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities. In 2018, the university established the Association of Design Universities of the Asia-Pacific Region. The university is recognized for its strong internationalization, ranking in the top 50 Russian universities in this category by the "Interfax" National University Rating.
